Every care has been taken to give a fair and accurate grade to the comics for sale on this website, but these are given as a buying guide only and are not officially recognised. Please note that we also air on the side of caution, so comics may be better than the grade we have given them.  

We have used the following grading guide:

NM - Near Mint to Near Mint+. These comics were boarded and bagged straight from the shop and never read. Kept in sealed comic boxes so no fading. (Up to 5 defects)

VF/NM - Very Fine to Near Mint. May contain the following: Flat, No Wear; Mostly Centered; Slightly Diminished Reflectivity; Up to 1/8" Creases, But no Color Break; Slight Staple Tears; Minor Interior Tears; Limited Number of Defects; Several Dates/Initials/Stamps Allowed. (Up to 8 defects)

VF - Very Fine. May contain the following:  Flat, Minimal Wear; Mostly Centered; Moderate Cover Reflectivity; Up to 1/4" Creases, But no Color Break; Slight Staple Tears/Discoloration; Minor Interior/Margin Tears; Some Corner Wear; Some Accumulation of Minor Defects; Several Dates/Initials/Stamps  Allowed. (Up to 12 defects)

FVF - Fine to Very Fine. May contain the following: Some Slight Spine Roll; Mostly Centered; Moderate Cover Reflectivity; Minor Creases, Some Color Break; Some Staple Tears/Discoloration; Minor Interior/Margin Tears; Some Corner Wear/Slightly Blunted; Some Accumulation of Minor Defects; Dates/Initials/Store Stamps Allowed. (up to 16 defects)

FN - Fine. May contain the following: Some Minor Spine Roll; Up to 1/4" Spine Split; Some Cover Reflectivity; Minor Creases, Some Color Break; Minor Staple Tears/Discoloration; Minor Interior/Margin Tears; Corner Wear/Blunted; Accumulation of Minor Defects; Dates/Initials/Store Stamps Allowed. (Up to 20 defects)

VG-FN - Very Good to Fine. May contain the following: Moderate Spine Roll; Up to 1/2" Spine Split; Some Cover Reflectivity; Modest Cover Discoloration/Staining; Minor Creases, Some Color Break; Minor Staple Tears/Discoloration; Slightly Loose Centerfold; Minor Interior/Margin Tears; Corner Wear/Blunted; Accumulation of Defects; Dates/Initials/Store Stamps Allowed. (Up to 25 defects)

VG - Very Good. May contain the following: Spine Roll; Up to 1" Spine Split; Minor Cover Reflectivity; Cover Discoloration/Staining; Creases, Color Break; Staple Tears/Discoloration; Loose Centerfold; Interior/Margin Tears; Corner Wear/Blunted; Accumulation of Defects; Dates/Initials/Store Stamps Allowed; Writing on Cover. (Up to 30 defects)

GD - Good. May contain the following: Spine Roll; Up to 2" Spine Split; Very Low to No Cover Reflectivity; Cover Discoloration/Staining; Creases, Color Break; Staple Tears/Discoloration/Rusted; Detached at Staples; Loose Centerfold; Interior/Margin Tears; Corner Wear/Blunted/Rounded; Missing Cover Pieces; Accumulation of Defects; Dates/Initials/Store Stamps Allowed; Writing on Cover. (30-40 defects)
