MEWITH, in the township and parish of Low Bentham, wapentake of Ewcross; 11 miles WNW. of Settle, 11 miles from Kirby Lonsdale, (Westm.) 13 from Settle, 14 from Lancaster. This is a district, and a quarter of the township of Low Bentham.
