Served as a Private (No. 16596) in the 15th Bn., Durham Light Infantry and was
killed in action during WW1. He is burried in Ploegsteert Wood Military
Cemetery, Comines-Warneton, Hainaut, Belgium (Grave Reference III.J.4).
