The rest of the web site is on hold at the moment for several reasons - Aiden is now 15 months old and takes up most of my days, which means I have to work through the wee small hours to try and keep on top of my paid work and my work as webmaster and treasurer of The Metcalfe Society. However, he is already showing an interest in the computer so hopefully I'll have him updating the web site in the next year or two!

I do not, therefore, think that any major updates will appear here - other than the odd snippet sent to me or updates to the message board - for the immediate future.

Don't forget to visit the MESSAGE BOARD page, where are listed any emails received and other snippets that relate to surnames on this site, but do not connect to my tree, and also requests from other researchers looking for information.

If you're looking for information on the HERBERT's of Hanslope, check out the Hanslope pages in the History section - as well as Hanslope Parish Registers listings I've also added the Newport Pagnell Census Returns covering 1841 to 1891, kindly supplied by Diane McMurdie. These records cover information on all HERBERT's that do not link to my tree.

Being pretty desk-bound most of the time, my research depends mostly on postal enquiries, www sites and email contacts - I provide information such as certificates and wills on this site in an effort to assist other researchers in the same position.
