The genealogy site of Carol Ann HERBERT

Mary Ann HODSONI have been updating my family tree with lots of Census returns from 1841 to 1911, and therefore thought it was time to do a major overhaul of the website as it hasn't been touched in many years.

I am converting all the html to php (which makes updating and future add-ons much easier), but consequently not all the pages will be available at the same time as there are a lot of pages to convert!

If you're looking for a particular name you can use the Names and Surnames links above.

If you're looking for information on the HERBERT's of Hanslope, check out the Hanslope pages in the History section - as well as Hanslope Parish Registers listings I've also added the Newport Pagnell Census Returns covering 1841 to 1891, kindly supplied by Diane McMurdie. These records cover information on all HERBERT's that do not link to my tree.

WANTED If you have information, such as Parish Records, Wills, gravestone inscriptions etc for the HERBERT surname - or any other surname in my tree - I would be pleased to include them on this site with a credit to you, to help other researchers. Just send an email to let me know what you have.

Being pretty desk-bound most of the time, my research depends mostly on postal enquiries, www sites and email contacts - I provide information such as certificates and wills on this site in an effort to assist other researchers in the same position.

Many thanks must go to Shirley Tebay, Jane Curry, Marion Maychell, Margie Fawcett and John Ward, who have given support and lots of valuable information to aid my search on the Dent families. Also thanks to Jean Maudsley and Joan, who have provided information on the SEDGWICK line, including copies of certificates and Census data.

I hope you enjoy your visit and find something useful, and if any of our paths cross please drop me a line - I'd love to hear from you. Contributions, suggestions and comments are also welcome.
