7604. William THISTLETHWAITE was born about 1595. He died 1660 in Harborgill, Dent, Yorkshire. William THISTLETHWAITE married Isabel NELSON on 1620.

DEATH: Date is between the 19th of April 1660, when he signed his will, and the 15th of September 1660, when the inventory of his goods was taken.

William was appointed a trustee and supervisor of his brother Richard Thistlethwaite's estate.
William made his will on 19 Apr 1660 at Harborgill.

Isabel was named as a legatee in the will of William Thistlethwaite, her husband, 19 Apr 1660 at Harborgill.
Her will was made on 4th Aug 1666 at Harborgill.

The marriage of William & Isabel has never been found. Isabel's surname is assumed from the fact that her husband mentioned in his will his 'brother' Brian Nealson [sic]; always supposing that William Thistlethwaite meant 'brother-in-law', Brian Nelson could have been Isabel's brother or the husband of one of her sisters. He could also have been the husband of one of William Thistlethwaite's sisters whom have not yet been discovered. Nothing positive has been found in the Nelson probates in the Lonsdale Deanery.
