"Richard Thistlethwaite of Harbourgill in Kirthwaite in Dent yeoman
WILL dated 24th August 1686

To my elder son William Thistlethwaite for ever Harbourgill, Hollow Mill, New Closes all in Kirthwaite in Dent; he is take possession of them when he attains the age of 18 years.

To my two sons William and John for ever all that moiety or half part of one part of one pasture close called Swineleyside (in Widdale head on the north side of Wanfell in Wensleydale).

£420 in trust 'to the onely proper use benefitt & behoofe of my three children John, Isabell & Anne'...the trustees are James Burton of Haycoate & James Burton of Stonehouses (both in Dent); James Whaley of Snaisholm in Wensleydale; & James Harker now of Grisdalle.
