Will of Edmund DAWSON : ? - 1753


WILL dated 19th December 1750.

To my wife Elizabeth the income or mean profits from Dandraygarth otherwise Dawsons in Garsdale until my son James is 21, if she so long remain my widow.

Chargeable with the payment of £4 a year to Elizabeth Thistlethwaite, widow of Richard Thistlethwaite for life.

James to have the real estate when he is 21.

To my daughter Agnes Dawson £100 when James is 21.

To my son William Dawson £21 at 21 years.

To my wife Elizabeth the income from my other properties, viz. Lowscarrhouse, Loaninghead and Coppyhouse otherwise Cornclose house in Garsdale until my son Thomas Dawson is 21. These properties are made chargeable with the payment of £5 a year to my mother Jane Dawson during the term of her natural life according to the directions in my Father's last will & Testament.

Thomas to take over the second lot of properties at 21.

To my brother William and my cousin Richard Haygarth £75 to be by them put out at interest to discharge the like sum chargeable upon my lands given and devised to my son Thomas at the decease of my mother Jane Dawson, and the residue thereof etc...
