WILL dated 4th April 1753

TO my son William Haygarth my property called Newhouses, also my property called (?Whatererd) now in the occupation of Elizabeth Nelson widow my farmer; all the properties are in Garsdale. Also to William my property called Studley Garth in Kirthwaite in Dent, at present in the occupation of Leonard Greenbank my farmer.

TO my dearly beloved wife Isabel £8 annuity.

TO Mary Haygarth widow of my late brother Michael Haygarth annuity of 10 shillings a year.

TO my sister Margaret Sedgwick widow annuity of 10 shillings.

£5 to my niece Catherine Haygarth to be paid by my son William at the end of six months next after the decease of her mother the said Mary Haygarth.

TO my grandson John Haygarth my property called Birkrigg, now in the possession or tenure of William Raw my farmer; also my property called Fawcetts, these 2 properties are in Garsdale.

ALL my other property to my son Richard Haygarth, he to pay to my wife a further annuity of £8. Isabel is also to have various items of furniture & £50 and the 2 silver spoons which my cousin Brian Nelson gave her.

TO David MacMurray, dissenting Minister in Garsdale annuity of 30 shillings.

TO Catherine Haygarth widow of my late brother Richard Haygarth deceased an annuity of 20 shillings.

R & R to my son Richard Haygarth, sole exec.
