My ancient estate at Warescale consisting of one Messuage & 2 Closes, the one called Coatgarths the other called Little Intack & 2 parrocks adjoining the said dwelling house to my son William for life & after his death to my grandson William Burton for ever, nevertheless chargeable with the payment of £10 his sister Isabel, wife of John Greenwood and £5 to his brother John and £30 to his three sisters Ann, Margaret and Agnes £10 each when he enters upon the estate if they are 21.

If my son William dies before his son William is 21, the income from the estate is to be used for the maintenance and education of his children.

I give & devise my estate which formerly was my cousin William Burton's consisting of one Messuage house & Back parrock thereto adjoining and 2 Closes called New Intacks and one called High Intack and a little parcel of ground called Piece and the priviledge of the Loning & also the priviledges of an undisturbed footpath at all times of the year and also liberty to drive sheep upon occasion at any time between the fifth of September and the middle of April through a Close called Little Intack to my son Richard for ever, chargeable with the payment of £30 to his three daughters Ann, Margaret & Mary £10 each at Richard's death.

To my daughter Isabel £28 and £3 to each of her children.

To my son-in-law Joshua Binns my best Close (Coat &c).

Supervisors are Richard Thistlethwaite of Spicegill and William Mason of Mirehouse.
R & R to my sons William & Richard, joint execs.
