Saturday 18 October 2003 - 'BODICES'

The meeting at Rodley Ecumenical Church on 18 October was very successful with over 70+ members attending. The church hall was a new venue for us and proved to be a good one. Lunch was excellent - our usual caterers lived up to their usual high standards and provided a tasty and varied menu.

Unfortunately Dawn Wood (the second of our guest speakers) was indisposed and had to cancel her talk at the last minute. We hope to see her in the not too distant future.

However, Diane Bates, whose topic was 'Bodices', stepped into the breach and spoke in the morning and afternoon session to the great delight of all present. Diane brought many of her exotic bodices and a good supply of slides to illustrate her talk; this was entertaining and given complete with anecdotes - without notes!
